Cathy Michaels Design Monthly Paper Kit ClubI'm liking this little journal more and more with every week that passes. Not really the journal per se, but the way it's being used. I realize now that I could have used any one of the journals or calendars that I already had, but I went with the Moleskine. Don't know that I'll do that again, have to see if it falls apart before the end of the year or not, that's the true test.
The challenge for Week 15 was Monochrome! I think we need only to do one page for the challenge but I kept it going. Another spread I'm very happy with.
Have a great day!
The group challenge was to write out your name and decorate it. My personal challenge was spring cleaning, and OMG it just gets harder every year. Thank goodness I have a small, (very small), place.
April's Challenge was Messy Monochrome, black and white, and the use of one or two accent colors. I started my page with a stencil background that I painstakingly colored. I colored every little circle and outlined every flower and filled everything in. Then I slapped on this beautiful picture of Rhianna and covered it all up! I've always had a bit of a hard time covering up great backgrounds or what I think looks good enough, but I'm getting braver and not regretting it!
Come visit! Jennibellie's Journal Workshops
Here they are in their natural washi state. I don't know if they'll look this cute when I'm done!
I'm happy with week 13! Our challenge was to have someone else start the page, so a friend just drew lines on the page and that was that. I used Cathy Bluteau's technique that I learned in her 21 Secrets class. It was one of my favorite classes and I think she's still offering it on her website at a reduced rate. It's definitely worth taking! I forgot how much fun it was to make these little decorative squares!
On the inside flap I used photocopies of two of my 52 pick up cards and just colored the hearts to give them more pop. The center page is a collage of some of the items I love using, vintage photos and flowers.
Thanks for stopping by!
I've taken a few classes from Joanne and adore her writing and teaching style. This is a woman that absolutely loves what she does! I can't wait to dive into her first book and play. I just signed up for another one of her classes, Doodle Arts and Lettering, and plan on practicing some of those doodles in my DLP!
Art Journaling, by Stampington & Co, just gets better and better. I've been getting this hard cover magazine for several years and not once have I considered cancelling. It never gets old. I was so excited when I received this issue, the spreads are fabulous and there's a great article about Julie Fei-Fan Balzer, one of my all time favorites.
