I caught him! I caught him! Man, is he fast! Sorry, the picture is so blurry but he stopped for just 1/2 a second and I snapped the camera while I was still moving. There were actually 2 of them....running around the pool....one on the insde of the gate....one on the outside of the gate. This is the first time I've been able to get near them since they move so fast. They don't seem to be afraid of anything though...They are SO cute! And SO funny! Odd little creatures...did you know they can run up to 17 MPH? If you're interested...check it out at http://www.desertusa.com/road.html I like these guys....I just hope Wile E. Coyote doesn't show up next.

Click on the pictures and you can see it...Snow....that's what you see in these pictures taken in the desert Thursday afternoon. Snow....in the desert....not just up in the mountains but in the middle of the desert! I knew it was cold, but when my co-worker shot me a picture of the conditions he was working in...I was shocked. And then by Saturday it was in the high 70's again! LOL!

It was 80 degrees yesterday, and it looks like more of the same today. Yayyy! Of course, it made me realize that I'm about as pasty white as a cadavor, and that I've gained just enough weight that my warm clothes make me look like the Pillsbury Doughboy. *sigh* I guess it's time to get off the carbs.....my really big downfall.....bread, pretzels, doughnuts, muffins, PASTA......and I don't think the pretzels help my COPD. Maybe it's the salt....I'm not sure....but my breathing is harder lately, more intense, and I was just fine until I started in on the carbs and pretzels. There must be a connection in there somewhere.
And the snow remains on the mountains. What a fantastic site to see when you're standing in the sunshine and the temperature is 80. I mean, honestly, you only see this stuff in the movies, people laying out by the pool in February with snowcapped mountains behind them.....I must be dreaming.
So my resolution.....no, not a New Year's resolution, just a resolution, is to get back on track with my diet and stop eating all this junk. I'm also going to start walking again, maybe join Curves again, maybe Butterfly Life, maybe even a senior citizens yoga group, SOMETHING! ANYTHING to get rid of the winter fat I've stored away. And I'm starting tomorrow.
